Every product is built around DT56a, a patented fermented soya extract, combined with vitamins and minerals chosen for each stage of life. There are three products, one for each stage, and all three are on the shelf at 10 Triq il-Witja, Tarxien, and online.

The three Femarelle products

• Femarelle Rejuvenate 56 capsules – for women in their 40s. DT56a with flaxseed, vitamin B2 and biotin. Vitamin B2 contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue; biotin contributes to normal psychological function and to the maintenance of normal skin and hair.
• Femarelle Recharge 56 capsules – for women around the time of menopause, typically in their 50s. DT56a with flaxseed and vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 contributes to the regulation of hormonal activity and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Kosher and Halal certified.
• Femarelle Unstoppable 56 capsules – for women after menopause, typically 55 and over. DT56a with calcium, vitamin D3, vitamin B2 and biotin. Calcium and vitamin D are needed for the maintenance of normal bones and contribute to normal muscle function.

All three: 56 capsules, 2 a day (1 morning, 1 evening) = 4-week supply, €29.95. Hormone-free, not an isoflavone extract, gluten-free and non-GMO. The capsule shell is gelatin, so they are not vegetarian.

Which Femarelle should I choose?

The brand makes it simple: go by your stage, not by symptoms. In your 40s, choose Rejuvenate. Around menopause, usually in your 50s, choose Recharge. After menopause, choose Unstoppable, which adds calcium and vitamin D3 for bones. Take one product at a time. Femarelle FAQ

Is Femarelle a hormone? No. Femarelle contains no hormones and no added oestrogen. DT56a is a soya extract made by a fermentation process that keeps the whole soya compound rather than isolating single isoflavones.

What does Femarelle do? Each product provides vitamins and minerals with official EU claims, listed above: B6 for the regulation of hormonal activity, B2 and B6 for tiredness and fatigue, biotin for psychological function and skin and hair, calcium and vitamin D for bones and muscles. DT56a and flaxseed are not on the EU list of authorised health claims, so we do not describe effects for them. If you have a specific health question, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.

How do I take it? One capsule in the morning and one in the evening, with or without food. The blister sheets are marked with the day and morning/evening so it is easy to keep track. A box lasts four weeks.

Can I take Femarelle with other supplements? It is a food supplement, not a medicine, but if you take medication or are under medical care, check with your doctor or pharmacist first. Do not exceed the stated daily dose.

Is it gluten-free, Halal, Kosher? All three are gluten-free and non-GMO. Recharge is also Kosher and Halal certified. None are vegetarian (gelatin capsule).
