Why magnesium glycinate?
Magnesium glycinate (also called magnesium bisglycinate) is magnesium bound to the amino acid glycine. Compared with magnesium oxide or citrate it is well absorbed and gentle on the stomach, so it suits people who want a proper daily dose. Igennus uses a buffered chelate, which is how it reaches 380 mg of elemental magnesium in just two capsules – many glycinate-only products need four to six for the same amount.

How to take it
Adults: two capsules a day, best taken with food. For all-day coverage you can take one in the morning and one in the evening. Many customers take both in the evening; either way is fine – taking it every day matters more than the time of day. Children aged 12+: one capsule a day. Do not exceed the stated dose.

Is magnesium glycinate the same as magnesium bisglycinate?
Yes. Both names describe magnesium bound to two glycine molecules. Brands use either name for the same form.
How much magnesium do I need?
The EU reference intake is 375 mg a day from all sources. Two Igennus capsules give 380 mg of elemental magnesium. When you compare products, look for the elemental amount – many labels show the weight of the whole compound, which is several times higher than the magnesium you actually get.
Can I take it with other supplements?
Magnesium is commonly taken alongside vitamin D, omega-3 and B vitamins. Leave a couple of hours between magnesium and iron or zinc, which compete for absorption. If you take prescription medication, check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
Can I take it if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
